Graphic Design & Marketing Student
I'm a graphic design and marketing student crafting visual stories through typography, poster design, branding, and illustration. From design-period studies to cinematic character posters, I'm seeking internships and entry-level creative roles where thoughtful design meets real-world brands.
01 — Personal Work
Personal work across character posters, editorial, and illustration.
Posters and Promotional
A series of cinematic character posters featuring Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, Leon S. Kennedy, and Luna Snow, unified by halftone textures, serif typography, and floral accents.
Character Design
A character study of Moon Knight across four sketches — exploring the hero's cowl, crescent emblem, and dual identity through charcoal linework, pastel accents, and glowing eyes.
Personal artwork and character illustrations — the work I make for the love of making. Original colors, untouched.
Character Illustration
A stylized portrait of Luna Snow with heterochromatic eyes, holding a snowball — drawn with pencil-like texture and soft, vibrant colors.

02 — Class Assignments
Projects completed for design courses at Henry Ford College.
Typography
A typographic study reimagining Ben & Jerry's branding across three design periods — modern minimalism, retro, and Victorian — each with its own visual language.
Branding and Identity
A class project mocking up a mobile-first website for an independent coffee shop, built around a warm cream palette and a calm, legible phone-view layout.
Editorial Design
A fall cookbook magazine spread pairing a pumpkin cheesecake hero with a two-column editorial layout, pull-quotes, and a secondary tart feature.
Editorial Design
An editorial magazine spread pairing a dramatic owl portrait with an excerpt from Thoreau's Walden, set in a two-column layout with an overlaid blockquote.
Album Art
A class assignment designing a surreal album cover — a figure suspended over moonlit water at night, framed by a crescent moon and an overlay of rain droplets.
Illustration
A class assignment designing an Ex Libris bookplate — a celestial sun and crescent moon sharing a kiss, framed by swirling clouds and scattered stars in detailed digital linework.
Composite Illustration
A class assignment creating a composite piece that frames multiple landscapes — mountain peaks, a twilight town, a green field — within a stone archway, with distressed stencil text reading 'Less Traveled By.'
03 — About
I'm Sama, a graphic design & marketing student based in Dearborn Heights, MI. I believe good design is quiet — it earns attention through clarity, not noise.
My work spans typography studies, poster design, branding, and illustration. Whether I'm reimagining a brand across three design periods or building a cinematic character poster, I approach every project with research, restraint, and a love of craft.
